0:14 Well, this has been on my mind. Welcome to another edition of the Rancho Radio Podcast. My name is Jim, longtime student and host of this program. Now it's now going into its 7th year as we talk and discuss the 5th epical Revelation meaning the Urantia book and we. Cover a whole. Range of topics if you're relatively new. To this podcast. We focus on the Urantia book because. It is filled with. So many different. Topics that are worthy of of. Examination Analysis. The Urantia book no doubt is probably the definitive source for. Spiritual truth. Regarding God and Christ and the the meanings behind the universe, it sounds.

1:02 Pretty, pretty prolific, but. By the same time, that's why we spend so much time on the Urantia book and we've talked about everything from the life and teachings of Jesus. To the. History of our planet. To the the. Ancestral beginnings of many of our. Habits and culture. And the way. That we worship. And the. Way that we. Approach Christianity and and all the different faiths through the lens of the Arantia book Revelation. Now, a lot of times we get into conversations with people who come on and they talk. About their projects. And there's some tremendously great projects, no question.

1:44 And what we're doing is important work because we're laying the foundation for the next generation to pick it up again and carry it forward. Because that's exactly what I believe. The revelators. Had in mind, they knew that they were very much aware, having been an observant of us since the very beginnings of time, they're very much aware. Of what our. Capacity for understanding revelation is they. See for example. How slowly traditions. Evolve over. Time and we're at a point now where I'm sure that they're looking and saying, well, what is the next? Step.

2:30 What is? The next step? For the Urantia book, where does it? Go from here. We have study. Groups as I've mentioned, 500 or so. Plus. Maybe more, maybe less. It's hard to know. I'm not sure if there's any. Particular group that keeps. Track the foundation can certainly. Track sales. And distribution of the book, which they've done remarkably. Over the years. And and obviously. They're the hub where a lot of people who call about the ranch book I I would. Love to get somebody on from the foundation at some point and talk. About what? Kind of calls.

3:12 Do they get how? How? The calls have changed. Over the years. And because I think that would. Be a good. Gauge. Of how the? Revelation is doing on its own, standing on its own. You know, we throw out the term 5th ethical revelation as if it's just common nomenclature, but it's not really. Not really. Most people don't even know what an epical revelation is, much much less a revelation in and of itself. What's a revelation? The learning curve on the Arantia book is. Is pretty steep. But it's important and it's relevant and I put pen to paper and in my discussions.

3:59 With various people. Within the Arantia movement, some of them I've known for a long time, others only having recently met them. And there is real concern with, especially with the war breaking out in Iran and American firepower. And, you know, it's like an anthill that gets kicked and all of the sudden there's pandemonium and uncertainty in the stock market and where are we going? What are we doing? Oh my gosh, things are crazy. Is this why? The revelation was put into our hands because we're. Maybe it's going to help save humanity. These are the thoughts that sometimes run through my mind, and certainly many others, because the natural inclination is. OK, so were they were the revelators? Trying to warn us about what was going on. Did they see that?

4:50 Maybe if we had more information about. Our history. That we might be better. Be able to better assess. The present and make better decisions. For the future so. What are the next steps for the Urantia movement? What can it do to transform society? And I tell you, the more nervous I. Get about society. The more I. Go to the Urantia. Revelation. To try to. Find a solution or an answer, some nugget that I might be able to put into a blog or put into the. Podcast that would. Maybe have a chain reaction effect? For good. And and and.

5:32 Do I do that in my circle of influence? Sure. I think we. All do but. I put pen to paper and I thought about the Urantia book and its next steps proximi gratis. What is the next step? And I put together a pro and con summary of different paths that the Arantia. Book could take Should we try to? Present it more to the mainstream. We talked with Byron Blitzos about this very subject. Should we? Be advertising should be we hire consultants. What's the step? What do we do to get this out there so that it's faster but that the question reveals itself?

6:20 In the Urantia book and I have pinned 4 examples of what. We should do. With a revelation that would be pleasing and smart. To our revelators, because they gave us this book with the. Intent of affecting social change. They say it. Throughout the book. They say that the teachings of Jesus in this. Book will give. People, a renewed interest in the master's life and how transformative. It is but. The four examples. If we ask ourselves. What are the next steps? For the Urantia book, well, what? Are the next. Steps. What do we do the first?

7:04 Example is from. The book itself. When it talks about the Dalamatian teachings and I want to. Go through the four. Previous epical revelations and how did. They do it. That's how we should do it, how they did it. Then we should. Do it. Now there's no reason to deviate from the original plans, I'm sure there. Are probably outlines. If you think. About it every. Evolutionary World. Will receive revelations. It outlines this in the papers having to do with the different. Epic Ages. Of mankind and generally speaking, all races on all.

7:48 Worlds go through these. Varying epics. They're demarcation points. Of social, spiritual. Adjustment and evolution now the dalamatian teachings were which. Were the first. Epical revelation that the Urantia. Book refers to takes us back to. About 1/2 a million years ago when Calogasti and the 100 from Jerusalem came here to teach. Us the basic. Fundamentals of of. Agriculture of trade. Of working in the. Fields. Customs. How to get along with one another to the basics. I mean you, you imagine if the 50 men and 50 women or what they call the Dalmatian 100, the physical representatives. Of Calagasia the.

8:41 The original Prince or the first Prince to appear on our planet? And it explains exactly. What happened they? Built a civilization in the Persian Gulf, and some of this is recorded in the Book of Enoch. Some of it. Is is uttered to the pages of Zoroastra, where we get our. Basic elemental teachings of right and wrong. Many of the depictions of the War in Heaven. Survived the. Dalamatian teachings because. The. Dalmatia was in formation at the time that the Lucifer Rebellion came in came underway. So all of.

9:22 These ancient teachings in the Dilmud and Gilgamesh. These are all echoes of that. Period of time when man was first learning his social skills, he was first being revealed the. Basic The very basic truths of of God, however. Human beings could possibly conceive. At that. Early stage when the six colored. Races had appeared. And this is. Before the. Adam and Eve, epic. That came later. But the the lesson that we learned on the Dalmatian teachings was slow instruction.

10:03 Never teach people more than they can handle. You're dealing with natives. You can't hit them over the head with all of this advanced knowledge. They they won't know how to process it. They won't know how to. React to it. And they certainly. Will overreact. And I'm sure that the. 1st. Problem that the Dalmatian teachers had was the tendency for humans to worship, and This is why so much of their ancient history might still be in our. Folklore. Folklore. Because the early humans must have looked upon these people as the mighty men of old who would live hundreds of years and, and, and there they would. Take the.

10:43 Daughters of men. As wives. But the method. Was. According to the. Urantia book a slow. Process of inviting selected members. Of the outside group the the outside tribes. Bring them in. Teach them the most that they could. Accept or learn? And then send them back into the general population. Take the truths. With you. And and teach them to. Your brethren, that. Was the method of teaching for hundreds. Of thousands of years as the. Dalamatian citizens tried to uplift mankind. So that was the first epical.

11:24 Revelation second ever. Epical Revelation. Again, we see a similar pattern of slow revelation. You had to earn the privilege of garden citizenship. Through a display. Of maturity, of not being dangerous, Adam and Eve did. Did not teach sudden truth to the natives of their times. They adopted and raised. Children with the. Truths of the Kingdom and man's eternal destiny. And then what did they do? They sent them back into the communities. Where there was a slow but steady absorption of religious culture that could take place. In those papers depicting this period, it. Shows us clearly. The the method is no different from the previous method, the initial plans of the first garden.

12:08 Obviously were disrupted. And it it we have been living in the shadow of that event ever since, having been deprived of a material son and daughter who would have lived long enough. To have a. Lasting effect on society but the method. By way they. Taught the. Tribes of that their area, their era. And this. Gets us into. The the Mesopotamian period. The cradle of of civilization. Period. Long before the Agadians and the Sumerians. We're talking 35,000 years. Much of what Adam and Eve? Taught did survive the ideas of. A mother and a father raising children, but they didn't teach sudden truth.

12:55 They adopted. As I mentioned and and sent these young. People who had lived. Among the citizens of the garden, send them back now this, of course, contradicts the biblical narrative because based on the writings of Genesis, Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel were the. 1st 1st 4. People on the earth, so how? Could they go back and well, of course, the Bible. Also says that Cain was banished from a garden and went to the land of Nod, east to the land of Nod where he found himself. A wife? Well. Hardly that would have been. Possible if there. Had only been the four progenitors of the the human race. So obviously there were more.

13:36 And clearly, genetically, we can prove that while we did come from an original mitochondria, the the human genome has been around for a long, long time. So then we move on to the third. Epical revelation. The third epical revelation. And what was that? How many of you know of? The Sage of. Salem Melchizedek of Salem, he was the one. That set up a. School, a Salem school, and he brought in again people from the community. Who adopted the approach of A?

14:17 Of a one God over many God, or many gods. A much event to Melchizedek. Taught these truths. To not just Abraham, although Abraham he was his mentor Melchizedek. Was the. Mentor to Abraham and he was a natural born leader. And Abraham, of course, went on to father not one, not 2. But three? Great. Religions. This influence came from the teachings of Melchizedek. To. Abraham and others. Who also spread the truths as as best they could. He. Sent them out. To the to the world so. In the first epical Revelation, Slow teaching, Bring them in, teach them, send them back. Adam and Eve, same thing.

15:06 Raise them, teach them, send them on their. Way Melchizedek. Bring in the the students, train them, teach them, send them on their way. You see a pattern? All right, so. Let's go to the 4th epical. Revelation and we all. Know that's Jesus. What did Jesus do? Jesus. Adopted the message of teaching teachers and let these teachers go back to their communities to share the good news. So it would. Appear, at least to me, that the method of introducing a new revelation of advanced truth. To the people. Of our world has never won and which it's been rushed, it does no good to suddenly thrust upon the world a brand new and culturally exciting idea, and it might even be made with, you know, some temporary reception. But it will be.

15:56 Fading as quickly. Because. That's what happens when you over. Teach. People initially get. Shocked they. They don't know what to do. With it, they try to adapt. To it and then eventually it falls to its own. What? Do they call it the reciprocal? Balance of time. So The thing is in this case is no matter what the outside. World is doing. We need not be anxious, we know that the book. Is is out there in the 1st 50 years of its publication, to be fair. The fact that it's gone as far as it's gone without drawing UN unwanted attention upon itself is great.

16:39 We've seen a lot what happens to a lot of great religions. They come, and sometimes they're too. Good to be. True. Certainly this is not the. Case that the. Intention of this revelation is long term. I do these podcasts because. I like talking about the Urantia book. I find it not only extremely profound and and helpful to understanding God's. Will but it also. Gives me a place of. Refuge where I. Can know that everything's going to be OK. But I don't. Go around proselytizing and and I know a lot of people read the. Ranch book probably. Don't either, but what we need not be anxious, I think is the the point because that's when people make mistakes, Jordan Peterson said.

17:25 We'll all meet 1000 people throughout our life, and each of those people will influence 1000 people in their life. So if you do the math, that puts each one of us away from influencing 1,000,000. Others but. In the same fashion. What I see? Are the great strengths of the Urantia movement are the the appearance? Of the study groups, these are little. Beacons of light. That are. That are coming out of the the the ground, so to speak, organic, natural people share the news with their friends and family people that are maybe. Perhaps spiritually. Like minded and hey, would you like to come over and read the book with me or we could do it on a Sunday afternoon and I can answer any questions you.

18:09 Have that. To me is the organic principle. Of revelatory growth. That sounds like it's it's moving at a pace of its own. I don't know a natural will. Yeah, we have better tools today to spread the. Good news than during the previous epical revelation. So we're. Already ahead of the. Game, I know that there are people that are putting out there's someone on X. That takes excerpts. From the the Urantia book. Not even a link, just just. A. Here's a Here's a little quote for you to. Think about that.

18:50 That to me is is organic. It's one person who says, why don't we just pepper the landscape with the. Thoughts of the Urantia book? Instead of coming out saying we've got the new 5th epical revelation and we can't tell you and and there's nothing wrong with that. What CFU is? Doing in creating the the Jesus experience is is an organic thing that one person, several people. Got together and. Said we can do this and then people can come in and they can take what they've learned and they can take it. Out to where they live. And that to me is the ordained way, the divine way. And it's only when we try to make it a religion and we and we think we're going to save.

19:33 The world that's. That's when it gets, you know, a. Little. Dicey and unpredictable, we could do more harm than. Good, in fact. I think that's kind of what happened with Martin Gardner and his. Horrible book because it has set the stage. And has stunted the normal, otherwise normal reception of the Urantia book for 20 years. And he never even read the damn book. He just went and talked to people that didn't like it. Or people that felt like it. Threatened Christianity. And let me tell you something Christianity is not going to. Accept the Urantia. Book in our age. Not at least publicly, they can't. They would have. To commit suicide to their own Christian faith.

20:14 And I think that would be an upsetting thing for the world. I think people are comfortable. I was driving home from visiting friends over the weekend. It's about Sunday morning and I drove. By this sizable Catholic Church. And there were just it was the end of the service and everybody was coming out. There were all kinds of people dressed in their Sunday wares and. You know, Catholic Church. Hundreds of people coming out. I was actually mildly. Shocked. That that many people still go. To church. But they do, because it's a sense of refuge. It's a sense. Of perhaps? Traditional refuge, safety, inspiring, making you feel that it's not just about humanity, it's also about divinity.

21:06 The world does need. That that. Environment I I'm convinced of that and there is room for the Urantia book, but it's not in the way that not in the way yet. Of what we'd like, perhaps. But right now, to me it's. A seed. That has been planted and only now are the roots starting to pop up and it's going to tape. Who knows? 1000 years, 500 years. I mean think about the time difference between Melchizedek and Christ was 52,000 years and he estimated he needed that much time because he didn't know when Michael was going to be bestowing on our planet. But I have a feeling he probably had a few connections and could estimate when this event could.

21:55 Occur or how? Long it would take, maybe. Christ waited until. The influence of Melchizedek. Could be absorbed so if the Urantia book is. An emergency. Book. Let's just say it. Let's posit it as a. Is a an emergency situation? Let's assume for a moment and. These are pretty. Grand assumptions, but let's assume from for a moment. That our seraphic. Overseers anticipated based on the experience of other. Worlds that we were about. To head into dangerous territory. We were literally a decade away from. Developing the atom bomb which the. Revelators would have been aware of the book. Was written in 3435, or at least transcribed into the English language, according to the revelators. And we knew the Manhattan Project was underway. We also knew World War 2.

22:50 Was about to get underway. So it wouldn't have taken a rocket. Scientist. No pun intended to determine that humanity was heading towards contentious times, and it has not changed since. It has been contentious since. The first world. War. The Second World War Our methods of destruction have increased. The ways that we kill each. Other have become more advanced. Now we're into the drone. Stage of warfare. Where we don't even need to expend human life. And it would seem logical to me that the. Revelators would have. Some experiential knowledge. They would see ahead. Farther than we would and they would understand that religion is losing its influence and it's time to invest and a new.

23:37 Software upgrade, so the Urantia. Book in a way. Is a software. Upgrade but not. Everybody upgrades. Their computers at the same time, do they? Some of us are still using Windows 10 for God. 'S sakes. So they would have anticipated that at some point people would start asking questions, but it's not there. We're not there yet. We're not there. Yet, but this book provides, I think it provides hope. And it unifies faith with science and philosophy in a way that no other. Book has provides us. Information and clarity about our. Past and it reveals to us our potential future if we. Can all get along.

Northern Africa, they took their time, they went the natural way, so. Let's let's. Focus on that. Let's let's really say a prayer. And and ask for patience. Patience is the most important element of spreading a new. Revelation, because that. Prevents you from getting frustrated and from suffering from despair. Ban and Amidon had to endure 150,000 years of waiting. That's a long time and they were patient. All right, so that's it.
