About The Urantia Book
The Urantia Book is the history of creation. It now becomes possible for all to grasp and interpret the meaning and purpose of life within a more comprehensive narrative of those events that preceded our existence, events that verify our universe is orderly, intelligently guided and under the domain of a loving and mindlful creator.
More than a quarter of the Urantia Book also discloses the life and teachings of the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, as presented by the Midwayer commission, who we commonly refer to as "our unseen friends."
In many ways, the Urantia is two revelations; the first discloses the agencies by which Deity functions in the spiritual realm; the second revelation is the full life of the Son of Man as he grew and lived a mortal life of God seeking; a human being who was, in fact, the incarnated Son of an entire universe while in the flesh.
The Urantia Book authors tell us the two most valuale experiences a human being can have are the conscious act communion with God as a personal living experience. HIs spirit lives within us, He is not far-off as an abstract; we are "endowed by His spirit; we are "made in His image," as shown by existence of free will; we are free to choose or reject this divine spirit.
The second most important human experience, we are told, is to study how Jesus lived his life. Jesus displayed a living example of how man can live a God-centered life, and in doing so, reach our potential as acending human beings.
The Urantia Book is a religious book, to be sure, but it is not a new religion. There are no formal groups, leaders or spokespeople. It is not a new living philosophy, but it does expands our philosophical concepts;
The Urantia Book is not someone's evolutionary idea, it a revelational presentation of new truths intended to "fill in the missing gaps" of human history. It is a lifting of the curtian to cosmic reality.
Each of the four sections of the Urantia Book are pieces of a galactic puzzle, that, when assembled, portray an intelligently designed and lovingly administered universe filled with varios types of advanced mortals, and semi and wholly spiritual personalities who all have specific function in the unversal ascension programs. These angels and higher being are guided by a much higher principle based on eternal and infinite reality concepts. The Urantia Book is their attempt to disclose some of these concepts as best as we can receive them in this age.
Therefore, having studied the Urantia Book papers for nearly half a century, I feel compelled to share it so that others might also be inclined to study them. Each podcast is a study of one of the 196 papers that comrprise the Urantia Book.
